I met Mercury Slim through Sydney, the manager at Dust City Opera in Albuquerque. Mercury Slim is based out of LA but is from New Mexico. As I got further west and further north, the string of connections continued to stretch. Stella knew Paul from Dust City Opera. Dust City Operas manager, Sydney, put me in contact with Mercury Slim. He had planned to meet me in Tinyboatsession Long Beach, but the timing didn't work out. However, he and his friend make the drive to Santa Barbara about a week later. In early March, the hills around Santa Barbara Harbor were green, and the sky was a perfect overcast that dispersed the light, and Slim rocked the boat to a parade of sailboats in the background. -Jordan & Clarabelle
